Stanley Goodin Sr., 87, of Hodgenville, passed away Friday, Feb. 7, 2014, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Geneva Goodin; his wife, Lilly Elsie Thompson; a daughter, Shelia Mae Goodin; two sons, Stanley Goodin Jr. and Terry Goodin; and a sister, Ellorie Hodge.

He is survived by two sons, Christopher (Shirley) Goodin of Hodgenville and Richardo Goodin of Louisville; a daughter, Priscilla Alexander of Bowling Green; a sister, Julia Cox of Hodgenville; 15 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The funeral is at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014, at Rust-Wright Funeral Home, 612 N. Lincoln Blvd. in Hodgenville, with the Rev. Billy Curle officiating. Burial follows in Hubbard Cemetery.
Visitation is from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14, and continues at 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
