Theresa Lynn Whitlock McDowell 58, of Buffalo departed this life on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at her residence surrounded by her family.
Theresa was a Christian by faith. She had 22 years of service with the child and protective services of Hardin County.
Theresa was born to the late James Donald Whitlock and Anna Joyce Salsman Whitlock.
Theresa was a loving mother, wife, and a grandmother. She loved her family deeply.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Michael McDowell; her father, James Donald Whitlock and a brother, James Gregory Whitlock.
She is survived by her two sons, David (Claire) Whitlock of Hodgenville and Michael (Leah) McDowell of Bowling Green; three daughters, Tessa (Jake) Fouts of Frankfort, Emily (Josh) McDowell of Hodgenville, and Kimberly (Jordon) Cron of Clarksville, Tennessee; her mother, Anna Joyce Salsman Whitlock; one brother, Dwayne (Debbie) Whitlock; fourteen grandchildren, Reese Ann Whitlock, Kennady Whitlock, Beckham McDowell, Lakyn McDowell, Brynna Fouts, Scarlett Fouts, Emmy Sloane Fouts, Kinlee McDowell, Kasen McDowell, Kruz McDowell, Kolton McDowell, Max Cron, Jasper Cron and Piper Cron. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services for Theresa Lynn Whitlock McDowell will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at William R. Rust Funeral Home Hodgenville Chapel with Brother Jonathan Carl and Deacon Billy Whitlock officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Tabor Church Cemetery in Buffalo.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 28, 2018 from 11 to 7 p.m. and will continue on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 after 8 am until time of service at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
