Thomas Lewis "Tommy" Lawson, 80, of Hodgenville, passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.
He was a member of Steadfast Baptist Church in Hodgenville, owner and operator of Lawson Cabinet Shop, Inc., currently a metal fabrication shop, and an Army veteran. Tommy was an avid lover of car cruises, and loved being around young people of all ages.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Mayme Durham Lawson; and several brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his wife, of 59 years, Nancy Friend Lawson; a daughter, Fran Hatcher of Hodgenville; a sister, Lizzie Craddock of Canmer; a brother, Sam Lawson of Louisville; and a host of friends.
The funeral is 2 p.m. Thursday, March 13, 2014, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with the Rev. Rodney Troutman officiating. Burial will follow in Buffalo Cemetery.
Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Wednesday, and after 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
