Walton Lee "Wally" Sparks, 55, of Hodgenville, passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at his residence.
He was a 911 Dispatcher for LaRue County; Chief of the Hodgenville Fire Department; a member of the LaRue County Fire Department, Hodgenville Methodist Church, B. R. Young Lodge #132 F&AM in Hodgenville and LaRue County Sportsmans Lake.
Wally was preceded in death by his parents, W.L. and Wanda Stephens Sparks.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Wyatt Sparks; a sister, Dianna (Randy) Hart of Elizabethtown; a brother, Michael (Gary Barnhart) Sparks of Louisville; a niece, Hailey Kinstle; four nephews, Darian Rock, Daniel Rock, Matthew Hart and Rusty Kinstle and six great-nieces and nephews, Caleb, Allie, Cannon and Case Rock and Mason and Grant Hart.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Monday, May 22, 2017, at the Hodgenville Civic Center, 200 South Lincoln Boulevard with burial to follow in the Red Hill Cemetery
Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. on Sunday with a masonic service at 7 p.m. and after 10 a.m. on Monday at the Civic Center.
