Yasuko "Yako" Oshiro McAllister, 70, of Magnolia, passed away, Tuesday, October 10, 2017, at her residence.
The native of Okinawa, Japan was a housewife and a member of the Magnolia Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Chomai and Matsua Oshiro and a brother, Katsuo Oshiro.
She is survived by her husband, Marshel McAllister; two daughters, Joy (Mike) Cox of Murray and April (Bill) Kite of Lexington; five grandchildren, Christian Cox, Codey Cox, Will Kite, Ella Kite and Luke Kite; two sisters, Kimiko Hachimine and Teruko Miyazato and four brothers, Choshin Oshiro, Chosei Oshiro, Choko Oshiro and Tomohiro Oshiro.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, October 16, 2017 at the Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Reverends Bill Macy and Tim McGuire officiating. Burial will follow in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. on Sunday and after 9 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
