Aloma Mae Curle Handley, 70, was born Sept. 13, 1942, to the late Rev. Clarence Allen Curle and Mary Frances Dixon Curle. She gave her life to Christ at an early age at Buffalo Baptist Church. She later became a member of First Baptist Church Hodgenville and remained a faithful member of the Missionary Society and the Senior Choir until God called her to come and sing in His Heavenly Choir on April 2, 2013, at Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a special brother, Lonnie Curle; and a granddaughter, Kallye Thurman.
She was united in marriage to Woodie R. Handley Sr. on April 15, 1957, and to this union five children were born.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband of 55 years, Woodie Handley Sr.; five children, Sybil Handley (Lonnie), Rhonda Handley (Eugene), Woodie Handley Jr. (Gloria), Jeanine Jones (Rick) and Emily Knox (Greg); two sisters, Willie Madden (McElroy) and Gail Clark (Ed); one brother, Donnie Curle (Thelma); eight grandchildren, TeNesha Murphy (Rob), Jeremiah Handley (Monique), Dominique Handley, Justin Thurman, Whitney Jones, Katlynn Thurman, Isaiah Thurman and Addison Knox; five great-grandchildren, Tristan Jackson, R.J. Murphy, Ryann Murphy, Aliyah Shabazz and Kamilah Myles-Thurman; a special aunt, Roseleen Price; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The funeral is at 11 a.m. Friday, April 5, 2013, at First Baptist Church Hodgenville with Rev. Billy Curle and Rev. Jerry Wilkinson officiating. Burial will follow in Hubbard Cemetery.
Visitation is 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville.
