It is with sorrowful hearts that we mourn the sudden loss of our beloved father, son, brother, uncle, and cousin, David J. Ortiz, 32, on Wednesday, February 13, 2013. He was born on December 22, 1980 in Las Cruces, New Mexico. David was an instant light and a profound joy. His creativity and abundant talents were apparent to all. David moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico as a teenager with his family and later began a successful career as a tattoo artist; his popularity soared and propelled him to open his own tattoo shop. David was a kind and generous man, his handsome smile and charming personality brought joy to all who meet him. David enjoyed making people happy and because of his playful soul he was especially loved by children. David was baptized in the Catholic faith; he loved God and was constantly seeking Him. We send our beloved David home to the Lord and unite him with all the angels and saints in heaven.
