Mary Louise Martinez, a longtime resident of Las Vegas, N.M., went to meet her savior on Sunday, July 29, 2018, in Las Vegas surrounded by her loving family, after a brief illness.
She was born on Sept. 10, 1930, to the late Eugenio and Confe Rudolph. She was united in marriage to Jose Celestino Martinez on Feb. 19, 1955.
She enjoyed spending time with her loving family, going to bingo and gambling, going out to eat with family, and gardening.
A lifelong Catholic, she was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband: Jose C. Martinez; parents: Eugenio and Confe Rudolph; goddaughter: Betty Armijo.
She is survived by her loving family, daughter: Irene Espinoza (Phil), son: Ernest Martinez (Dora), grandchildren: Miranda Saiz (David), Aaron Espinoza (Erica and Family), Melissa Martinez (Marcos) and Nicole Martinez (Reyes), great-granddaughters: Hailey and Brooke Saiz and Rhea Martinez; brother: Richard Rudolph (Madeline); sisters: Angie Ramirez, Margaret Rodarte and Anna Thomas (George), sisters-in-law Matilda Marquez and Ermelinda Mascarenas, numerous: loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.
A rosary service will be Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2018, at 9 a.m. with a funeral to follow at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Las Vegas, with Father Lalo Arteaga.
Interment will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:15 p.m. with the following as honorary pall bearers her grandchildren and great-granddaughters.
