Eva Maria Apodaca-Torrez, born July 12, 1951, went to meet the Lord on Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012.
Eva, a lifelong resident of Las Vegas is preceded in death by her husband, Larry McCree; parents: Teodoro and Victoria Apodaca; sisters: Frances Burch, and Prescilla Apodaca; brothers-in-law: Patricio Torres and Donald Romero; sister-in-law: Elisa Apodaca.
She is survived by her children: Charlene Lujan and husband Kenny and Melanie Casias and husband John; grandchildren: Kenny Jr. and Fabian Lujan, Savanah and Sierra Casias; sisters: Dora Gallegos (Paul), Irene Torres, Mary Madrid (Wilfred), Gloria Romero, Bertha Gonzales (Patrick) and Susan Apodaca (Charlotte); brothers: Fermin Apodaca, Bonnie Apodaca (Carmen), Don Apodaca (Bertha), Roger Apodaca (Teresa), Leo Apodaca (Bernadette) and Robert Apodaca (Jennie). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Eva will be greatly missed. She was a wonderful daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
Funeral services for Eva will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on Monday as follows: rosary will begin at 8:30 a.m., followed by celebration of the funeral Mass by Rev. George Salazar at 9 a.m. Burial services will follow the mass at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements for Eva have been entrusted to Nelson Funeral Home; 801 Douglas Avenue, Las Vegas; 425-6551.
