Delgado, Gilberto E. - Las Vegas  
Gilberto E. Delgado, 92, a lifetime resident of Las Vegas passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2016, in Las Vegas. He was born on April 1, 1924, to Juan Delgado and Margarita Flores Delgado in La Liendre. He was united in marriage with Aurora Rivera on May 31, 1952, in Las Vegas. He served in World War II and was a Purple Heart recipient. He is survived by his wife, Aurora Delgado of Las Vegas; daughters and sons, Priscilla Lesperance and husband, Louie, of Albuquerque, Margaret Higbee and husband, Hal, of Albuquerque, Everett Delgado of Las Vegas, Jerry Delgado and wife, Amanda, of Albuquerque; sister, Kim Delgado and partner, Annette Clancy, of Las Vegas; 16 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Rosary services will be held at 9 a.m. on Friday at Immaculate Conception Church in Las Vegas. Funeral services will be held following the rosary also at Immaculate Conception Church, with Father George V. Salazar as celebrant. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Las Vegas with the following serving as casket bearers: Everett Delgado, Jerry Delgado, Patrick Delgado, Andres Delgado, Peter John Delgado and Ryan Melton. Fisher, William Hubbard "Bill"  
William "Bill" Hubbard Fisher, 90, was welcomed to the Lord's Home on April 13, 2016. He was born in Grafton, North Dakota, to Harry and Leah Fisher on Nov. 20, 1925. He met the love of his life, Angie Chavez, while dancing at Joe's Ringside. They married on June 16, 1951. They enjoyed life together for 62 years until Angie died in 2013. He served in the United States Navy in the World War II. Also preceding him in death were his parents, Harry and Leah; mother-in-law, Leonor Chavez; his brothers, Don, Larry and Ed; several brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, cousins and other relatives. Surviving are his children, Kathy, MaryAnn (Ron Nix) and Robert Allen (Sharon); brother, Dewey Fisher of Minnesota; grandchildren, Andrea Zamora, Estevan Zamora (David Rey Galvez), Phillip Montoya (Rebecca), Bianca Moore (Todd); great-grandchildren, Kathleen Zamora, Matthew Montoya, Marissa Montoya, Jacob Montoya and William Moore. A celebration of life will be held at 5 p.m. on May 15, 2016, at the Elks Lodge. Burial will take place at 10 a.m. on May 16 at the Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe. He was a lifetime gentleman who brightened everybody's day. Heartfelt thank you to all the doctors and nurses at Meadows- Aspen, Ponderosa and Alta Vista Regional hospital who took care of our dad. Also to all our family and friends who prayed and helped us through this hard adjustment. Arrangements are under the direction of Rogers Mortuary.

Garcia, Josephine E. "Fina"  
Josephine E. Josie, "Fina" Garcia a resident of Las Vegas passed away peacefully on April 22, 2016 at Christus St. Vincent Hospital after numerous extended illnesses. Josie was a very religious Catholic dedicated to her God and church. She found her peace and tranquility visiting and helping in the chapel at I.C. church. She enjoyed and looked forward to giving communion in church and taking communion to the home-bound, the nursing homes and the hospital until she was no longer able to due to health problems. Her faith was so deep and strong that she bought a guitar, learned to play it so she could join and play with one of the church choirs. Josie is preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Cleo Jaramillo; and her sisters, Mary Alice Jaramillo and Martha Gutierrez. She is survived by her husband, Manuel L. Garcia, whom she married in 1968 in Santa Maria, Calif.; children, Manny Garcia and companion Dana Montoya, Joseph Larry Lesperence and wife, Joyce; daughter, Doris Jaramillo and husband, Bob; grandchildren, Anthony Trujillo, Jacob Trujillo, Jamie Lesperence, Tyler Lesperence, Megan Garcia and MJ Garcia; great-grandchildren, Desiree Trujillo, Angelica Trujillo Zerriah and Sophia Trujillo; great-great-grandchildren, Adriana, Jordon, and Carlos. All of her grandchildren enjoyed spending time in the summers with grandma Josie. She loved them all dearly but had a special love and connection with Tyler, MJ and Megan, her "baby doll" who would come and be with grandma every chance they could, till the very end. Josie is also survived by a special aunt, Gloria Rivera and family of Santa Fe whom she called "my manita" as she considered her like a sister. Also special to her are sister/brother-in-law, Georgia and Gilbert Garcia, who always were by her side in good time and in times of need. Also survived by sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Bobby Garcia and family; brother-in-law, Stephen Garcia and son; sister-in-law, Stephanie Tana Garcia and family, brother-in-law, Alfredo Garcia and family. Many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends also survive her. Josie worked for the WLV School system for 25 years as instructional assistant with Title 1, grade, middle and high school, retiring in 1998. When some of her former students saw and recognized her many years after they finished school they brought much joy and happiness to her. Rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. today (Wednesday) at Immaculate Conception Church with Mass following at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery with Manny Garcia, Larry Lesperence, Tyler Lesperence, Anthony Trujillo, Jacob Trujillo, and Gilbert Garcia serving as pallbearers. Goke, MaryAnn "Nana"  
MaryAnn "Nana" Goke, 73, a lifetime resident of Las Vegas and a current resident of Grants went to be with our Lord on April 27, 2016. She was born on May 2, 1942, to the late Ignacio and Bertha Duran. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ignacio and Bertha Duran of Las Vegas, Manuel and Nina Sena of Las Vegas; son, Richard H. Goke of Las Vegas, and brother, Joe Duran of Grants. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Goke of Rio Rancho; sons, Marvin Goke/Angie Valdez of Rio Rancho, and Manuel Goke of Albuquerque; her grandchildren, Richard Goke of Albuquerque, Jonathan Goke of Rio Rancho, Joshua Bustamante of Albuquerque, Michael Goke of Rio Rancho, Hannah Goke of Rio Rancho, and Nathanael Goke of Rio Rancho, and father of her children, Albert M. Goke of Las Vegas; her sister, Martha Urioste and husband, Tony, of Grants; brothers, Clifford Duran and wife, Amie, of Edgewood, Ray Duran of Albuquerque, sister-in-law, Tommie Duran of Grants, and numerous nephews and nieces. MaryAnn was a day-care provider for many years and considered each of the children she looked after as one of her own. All of these children still remember her today as their "Nana." She enjoyed sewing, baking, reading and spending time with her family and friends. A celebration of life for MaryAnn will be held on her birthday, Monday, May 2 at 7 p.m. at Grace Outreach Center; 2900 Southern Blvd. SE in Rio Rancho. A Christian service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at Heart of David Worship Center, with Pastor Mark Sena reciting at 333 Peggy Lane in Las Vegas with a burial to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Las Vegas. Serving as pallbearers will be Richard Goke, Jonathan Goke, Joshua Bustamante, Michael Goke, Martin Urioste, Michael Urioste, Lenny Duran, and Bobby Duran. Honorary pallbearers will be Hannah Goke, Nathanael Goke, Caroline Alires, Loren Urioste, Jose Urioste, Chris Urioste, Fina Martinez, Bertha Coca, and Veronica Sapien. Geraldine R. Kleinow, 66, a resident of Ribera, passed away on Friday, April 22, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Madonna Lezotte Kleinow and son, Thomas J. Crum. She is survived by her daughter, Christina Scalf; son-in-law, Ronnie Scalf; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three brothers, Donald Cross,Thomas Kleinow and Clifford Cross; three sisters, Linda Orr, Dolores Eads, and Darlene Rivera; and numerous nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place and services will be held in Michigan at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Gonzales Funerals & Cremations.

Maes, Larry - Albuquerque  
Lázaro Efrén Maes (Larry), 72, resident of Albuquerque, passed away April 13, 2016. Larry is survived by his brothers, Hilario Gilbert, Floyd Eduardo, Antonio Tobias and other family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Eloisa; sisters, Maria Jesusita and Juanita Eloisa; and brothers, Carlos Estevan and Joseph Frank. Larry was born in Mora. He attended NM School for the Blind and Visually Impaired; he later attended Highlands University and graduated in 1980. Cremation has taken place. As per Larry's wishes no services will be held.

Marquez, Lee I. - Las Vegas  
Lee I. Marquez, 84, a longtime resident of Las Vegas, passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at his home in Las Vegas. He was born on Feb. 19, 1932, in Las Vegas to his parents, George Marquez and Deluvina Martinez Marquez. A lifetime Catholic, Lee attended Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Las Vegas. Lee was a member of both the Eagles and the Elks Clubs. He also enjoyed spending time at his cabin in El Porvenir. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Deluvina Martinez Marquez; brothers, Lorenzo and Ernesto Marquez; sister, Elvira "Vina" Marquez; step-daughter, Thelma Holiday; nephews, Richard Maes and Jimmy and Jonathan Hafner. He is survived by his wife, Dolores Marquez of Las Vegas; step-daughter, Marla Armijo of Las Vegas; sister, Rachel Maes of Santa Fe; godsons, George Maes and wife, Anita, of Rowe, George A. Marquez and wife, Carol, of Albuquerque, and Jaryd Marquez of Las Vegas; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday with funeral services following the Rosary at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Las Vegas with Father Douglas Mitchell as celebrant. Interment will take place at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Las Vegas in the family plot. Cremation has taken place. Maria Epifinia Mejillas, 88, a lifetime resident of San Jose passed away Saturday, April 23, 2016. She was born on Dec. 7, 1927 in San Jose to Noberto Griego and Rufina Salas. She was a Catholic and attended the San Jose Church in San Jose. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She is preceded in death by her parents, Noberto and Rufina Griego; husband, Jose M. Mejillas; granddaughter, Epi Mejillas; sisters, Carmen McDowell and Cecilia Flores; and brother, Paul Benavidez. She is survived by her sons, Frank Mejillas (Katie) of San Jose, and Marcos Mejillas (Gloria) of Wagon Mound; daughters, Margaret Rivera (Pete) of San Jose, Therese Esquibel (Al) and Annie Najera (Mario), all of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Joey, Jonathan, Peter, Victoria, Frances, Kimberly, Suzanna, Christella, Paulina, T.J. and Crystal; great-grandchildren, Melissa, Raymond, Isabella, Mason, Toby, Jose and Christopher; great-great-grandchildren, Ariela and Francisco; sister, Eva Autry and husband, Lawrence, of Albuquerque; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Montoya, Eric John  
Eric John Montoya, 35, a resident of Aurora, Colo., passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2016, surrounded by his family. Eric was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Antonia and Horacio Montoya Sr.; uncle, John Montoya; great-grandparents, Max and Georgia Vigil Sr., Avelino and Pablita Moya, and godmother, Flora Rocha. Eric enjoyed music, baking, and the outdoors. Eric was a giving person who donated his organs to others so that they may live. Eric is survived by his mother, Theresa Montoya; father, Valentito Montoya and wife, Maria; brothers, Jesse (Tamara), Max (Kishah); sisters, Renee Valdez, Mary Frances, and Christine; grandparents, Max and Frances Vigil Jr.; aunts, Freida (George), Maxine ( Wallace), Nancy, Nora, Margie and families; uncles, Micheal (Mabel), Raymond (Teresa), Andy, Horacio Montoya Jr. (Bernadette); numerous other family members and friends; special nieces, Kaylynn and Naevia Villa. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today (Friday) at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Española.
