Alfred Orlando Bazan, Jr., 26, passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2013, in Ribera.
He was born on Sept. 24, 1986, in Las Vegas to Alfred Orlando Bazan Sr. and Marsha Sanchez.
He worked at The Santa Fe County Detention Center as a correctional officer.
He is preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Maria Rita Gonzales; and grandmother, Virginia Bazan.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa Bazan of Ribera; three children, Emily, Veronica and Rebeka Bazan, all of Ribera; mother, Marsha Sanchez; father, Alfred Bazan Sr., both of Ribera; mother and father-in-law, Joe and Lucia Quintana of El Coruco; grandparents, Pat and Mary Sanchez of San Juan, Locario and Corrine Hurtado of El Coruco; brothers and sisters, Johnny Sanchez (Jessica) of Ribera, Debra Bazan (Andy) of San Juan, Ryan Bazan (Shantel) of Ribera, NM, John Trujillo of Las Vegas; sisters-in-law, Ashley Jaramillo (Jody) of Raton, Elina Quintana of El Coruco, brother-in-law, Jose Quintana of El Coruco; special nieces and nephews, Mika, Joaquin, Lorenzo and Myra; numerous aunts, uncles and friends.
Rosary services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Church in Las Vegas. Funeral Services will be conducted at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Church with Father George V. Salazar as celebrant. Interment will follow at San Miguel Cemetery in San Miguel with the following serving as casketbearers: Johnny Sanchez, Ryan Bazan, Josh Mawrence, Joe Quintana, Bobby Zamora and Adam Gallegos. Serving as honorary bearers will be: Debra Bazan, Ashley Jaramillo, Elina Quintana and Jose Quintana.
Visitation will be held 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today (Monday) at Rogers Mortuary Chapel.
