Annie D. Herrera, 95, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother entered into eternal rest, surrounded by her loving family, on Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013, in Las Vegas.
She was born in Chacon on Nov. 1, 1917, to Frank and Beatrice Aragon.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Aurelio, and son, Nathaniel Herrera.
She is survived by her children, Ethel Dearinger and husband, George, Deckie Byrum and special friend, Al, Edna Jerro, Emerson Herrera and wife, Lina, Cornelio Herrera and special friend, Air, Dee Archuleta and husband, Pres, Eileen Armijo and special friend, Robert, Nimrod Herrera and special friend, Gloria, Lisa Montano and husband, Tony, Kitty Herrera and special friend, Lore; granddaughter whom she raised as a daughter, Vanessa Solis and husband, EJ; 17 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Dulcie Romero and Flora Hill; brother, George Aragon and wife, Adonaisa; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today (Wednesday) at El Rito Presbyterian Church in Chacon with Rev. Randy Campbell officiating.
Interment will follow at the El Rito Presbyterian Cemetery in Chacon with the following serving as casket bearers: Vernon Davis, Victor Byrum, Annie Abeyta, Matthew Archuleta, Jose Armijo, Jeremy Herrera and Dino Jerro. Honorary casket bearers will be all of her remaining grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
