Becky ""Star"" Barboa, 34, born March 30, 1979, in Albuquerque, has returned to shine in the heavens on March 14, 2014.
Becky was a student at the University of New Mexico where she was pursuing a degree in psychology. She enjoyed watching movies with her family, cooking, gardening and dancing.
She is survived by her parents, Priscilla and Madaleno Barboa of Las Vegas; three sons, Isaiah and Ezra Garcia, Rajan Davis; three daughters, Eliza Garcia, Shashawn and Shanoah Davis; sisters, Madalena Archuleta, husband, Chris and Lucille Serrano, husband, Jorge; brother, Matthew Barboa, wife, Susie. She is also survived by former husband, Marc Garcia and Marcellus Davis, and close friend, Jeffrey ""Phelps"" Peace. Also aunts, Criselda Deaver, Kathy McMahon, Dorothy Griego, husband, Arthur, Dorothy Madrid, husband, Eloy, Nancy Burgos, husband, Benny, Terry Salazar, husband, David; uncles, Randolph Barboa, wife, Rose, Ernest Maes, wife, Gloria; and Pablo Maes.
Becky is also survived by her great- aunts, Tillie Escudero and Erlinda Roybal, husband, Cornelio; as well as special niece and nephew, Cheryl Ann Romero (Acy Lux) and Diego Romero along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Becky is preceded in death by her son, Preston Davis; grandparents, Arcenio and Paz Maes, Silverio and Lucy Barboa; great aunts and uncles, Elias and Felecita Maes, Rose Maes and Tony Escudero.
Funeral services for Becky will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on Thursday as follows: Celebration of the funeral mass by Rev. George Salazar will begin at 1 p.m., with the rosary to be recited immediately following the funeral mass. A private interment will take place at a later time.
