Frank was born on July, 19 1950; he was born to Willie and Agneda Gomez. He grew up here in Las Vegas with many friends and family. He joined the United States Army
and served honorably. He retired after 20 years of service from the Army Corp. of Engineers.
After retirement he worked civilian jobs and was able to spend more time on the things he enjoyed most in life, he was a wonderful cook and enjoyed trying new things and brought a lot of his recipes from his travels with the army. He loved to garden, work with his hands, this also helped in his love for woodworking and sculpting wood. Frank loved his country and loved the 4th of July especially here with his family enjoying the fiestas that Las Vegas is famous for.
Frank was preceded in death by his mother: Agneda Gomez.
He was survived by longtime partner: Lupe Romero; father: Willie Gomez and Carmen Sena; children: Josie Gonzales and husband Brad; son: Chico Gomez and wife Vickie both of Amarillo, Texas.; daughter: Valerie Gomez of Omaha, Neb.; five grandaughters; sister: Sylvia Trujillo and husband Frank; brother: David Gomez and Evelyn Fernandez; brother: John Gomez and Dina all of Las Vegas; also many aunts and uncles and family that will miss him dearly.
Rosary services will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday at Immaculate Conception Church in Las Vegas. Funeral Services will be conducted at 9 a.m. on Friday at Immaculate Conception Church with Father George V. Salazar as celebrant with Interment to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Las Vegas with the following serving as casket bearers: Gabriel Gomez, Joseph Cordova, Santana Gomez, Theodore Marquez, Freddie Gomez, Leonard Marquez, Robert Romero and Jeff Rudolph. Serving as honorary bearers will be Ulisses Villalobos and Christian Herrera
