Joe T. Armijo(1938 - 2013)

Born on March 24, 1938 in Las Vegas, currently residing in Dublin, Calif., passed away on January 22, 2013 in Dublin, Calif.

Joe was a special dad, brother, uncle and friend. He was a generous man and was very giving to all.

He was preceded in death by his father, Feliciano Armijo on 9/18/1968; daughter Carla Armijo on 2/22/1982; brother-in-law, Valentin Martinez on 6/7/1986; niece, Andrea Valdez on 10/18/2009; biological mother, Catalina Duranslet on 9/27/2006; step-mother, Carlota Armijo on 4/25/2011 and sister, Dorothy LaVoie.

He is survived by his step-daughter, Catherine Cordova (Rudy); step-daughter Cyndy Collier (Jeff); step-son Ricky Frazier (Yunhui); sister, Carmen L. Martinez of Albuquerque; brothers, Feliciano Armijo, Jr. and wife Melinda of South Carolina, Leroy Duranslet and wife Yung of Granada Hills, Calif.; grandchildren, Alicia and Andrew Deaso, Rudy Cordova Jr., Adriana Cordova, Victoria Collier, Austin Collier; special great-grandson Alastair Deaso.

Numerous nieces and nephews, Valerie Sanchez and husband Albert and their children Christopher Martinez, Ruth Ann Sanchez; Sonia Valdez and husband Joseph and their children Tanya Valdez, Joseph Valdez Jr., Daniel Valdez; Steve Martinez and wife Lila and their children Estevan Martinez and wife Melaika and Letticia Martinez; JR Armijo, Robert Armijo, Cindy Armijo, Dina Erskina, Michael Malone, Valeree Martinez, Kristina Martinez, Eliana Martinez, Aiden Bitker, Bishop Shakur Valdez, Linda Diaz (Gonzales), Deborah Lendzian (Gonzales) Benjamin Gonzales; Robert LaVoie, Dorothy Denell (LaVoie) Regina LaVioe, Dodo LaVoie.

Very Special Friends Manny Guasp and wife Janice, Patrick Schiano and all other friends in California who he has grown very close to.

All his special friends in Las Vegas, who he would see on a yearly basis for his class reunion during the Fourth of July Fiestas.

Funeral services will begin with the rosary at 8 a.m. and the funeral mass following at 9 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Sorrows Parish, 403 Valencia Street, Las Vegas, with Father Douglas Mitchell as celebrant. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetary.
