Larry Leroy Cordova, 66, a resident of Tecolote, passed away at St. Vincent Hospital in Santa Fe on Monday.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Theresa Garza Cordova.
He is survived by a daughter, Tammy Lee Stoots and husband Mike of Lorain, Ohio; four grandchildren, Alexis McCaskey, Antonio Reyes, and Payton and Cole Stoots all of Lorain, Ohio; three sisters, Rose, Lisa, and Yolanda Cordova all of Lorain, Ohio; two brothers: Eloy Baca of Tecolote and Junior Cordova of Lorain, Ohio; and his pets, Daisy May, Miles, and Reba.
He was a Vietnam Veteran having served with the U. S. Army
as a Sp4. He was with Company C, Second Battalion, 34th Armor with the Fifth United States Army. He received the National Defense Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal with one bronze service star, the combat infantry badge; the Bronze Star
Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster, and the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with palm. He worked at the Ford Motor Company in Ohio for 38 years. He was an animal lover and was very creative.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday in St. Francis Chapel at Gonzales Funerals & Cremations, 2315 Hot Springs Blvd. Cremation has already taken place.
