Victor M. Trujillo, 54, a lifelong resident of Las Vegas, passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2013, at Christus St. Vincent Regional Medical Center in Santa Fe.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Jose and Bernie Trujillo; a brother, Bobby Trujillo; and two aunts, Nea Gomez and Dorothy Trujillo.
He is survived by his mother, Mary Trujillo of Las Vegas; four sons, Jesse Trujillo of Kansas City, Kan., Paul Baca Jr. and Joe Baca and wife Amanda all of Las Vegas, and Victor Trujillo Jr. Of Denver, Colo.; three daughters, Joyce Baca and companion Bernardo of Pueblo, Colo., Cathy Trujillo and companion Evan Sanchez and Michelle Trujillo all of Denver, Colo.; companion, Roseann Herrera; two sisters, Berna Trujillo and Brenda Padilla and husband Guillermo all of Las Vegas, and a brother, Johnny Trujillo and wife Matilda of Las Vegas, NM; and by 11 grandchildren.
He was born in Las Vegas on April 15, 1958 and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army. He was a contractor by trade and specialized in housing construction. He loved to camp, played pool and horseshoes.
Cremation has taken place and services will be held from Our Lady of Sorrows Church on Friday, March 22, with a rosary at 8:30 a.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial. Father Douglas Mitchell will celebrate the mass. The interment will follow in the San Jose Cemetery.
