Emilio A. Fresquez, 84, a lifetime resident of Las Vegas, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014 in Las Vegas.

He was born and raised at "El Canyon del Morphe" in Mora. He was born to Rumaldo and Gomecinda Fresquez and was the youngest of nine children.

He is preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Demetrio, Eliza, Onesimo, Amarante, Valentin, Carmelita, Pete, Mariano, and Stella.

He is survived by one daughter, Pita Fresquez and one grandson, Gary Fresquez, both of Las Vegas, and he also as a special niece, Anna Marie Huie.

He served in the United States Army for the Korean War. He worked for New Mexico Highlands University as a custodian for many years. He also enjoyed his "Flea Market Days."

Cremation has taken place and there will be a private service for his immediate family, daughter, and grandson at a later date.
