The Guest Book is expired.

Charles William "Bill" Brandenburg passed away on Saturday, July 28, 2018, in Las Vegas, N.M. He was 95 years old.
Bill was born April 12, 1923, in Gage, Oklahoma. He was the son of Clarkson O. Brandenburg and Edna O. (Phillips) Brandenburg, who predeceased him. His siblings were Perry Marx Brandenburg and Robert L. Brandenburg, who also predeceased him. He is survived by his brother Robert's nieces, Linda Sue Brandenburg of Dallas, TX, and Jennifer Ann (Brandenburg) Leu of Bartlesville, OK.
Bill graduated from high school in Gage, Oklahoma. He received a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Oklahoma in 1946, and a master's degree from the University of Oklahoma in 1948. He was admitted as a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Society in 1947.
Bill worked in the title insurance field for most of his adult life. In 1970, he moved to Taos and operated a title insurance agency there. During the '70s and '80s, he established Territorial Abstract & Title, with operations in 11 counties in New Mexico, becoming the largest privately-owned agency network in the State. He was a past president of the New Mexico Land Title Association. During his tenure there, he guided the Association through litigation with the New Mexico Bar Association that still affects the operation of the title insurance industry in the State.
Education was important to Bill throughout his life. In the early 1990s, he became involved with the Get-Away program at the United World College in Montezuma, N.M. Over the years he enriched the lives of a great many students at the UWC, and his home along Falls Creek became the setting for lively discussions and the celebration of life.
He will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
Memorial contributions may be made to UWC-USA, with a reference to the Bill Brandenburg Endowment.
