Delfinio Saiz, 80, a lifelong, well-known resident of Las Vegas passed away at Alta Vista Regional Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Manuel and Sofia Saiz; daughter: Francis Gonzales; grandson: Thomas Chavez; his mother-in-law: Angelina Madrid; brother-in-law: Carlos and wife Silvia Silva; sister-in-law: Flora Dimas; and niece: Tina Saiz.
He is survived by his wife: Tillie Saiz of the family home; son: Michael Saiz; daughter: Lorraine (Tony) Chavez; son: John (Sandra) Saiz; son: Paul (Joann) Saiz; son: Peter (Angie) Saiz; daughter: Rosita Montoya; son: Louie (Grace) Saiz and adopted daughter: V. Karla Martinez (Jerome Madrid), all of Las Vegas. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren: Desiree (Erin) Mulligan, Christopher Montoya, J.D. Saiz, Crystal (Mathew) Cordova, Susanna Saiz, Christina Saiz, Deanda Saiz, Ashley Chavez, Toby (Kat) Chavez, Denica Saiz, Paul Saiz Jr., Marissa (Jonathan) Romero; 14 great-grandchildren; several special nieces and nephews; special cousins: Mac and Teresita Chavez and special friends: John and Sydney Wexler; living siblings: Margarito (Josie) Saiz; Ray (Margie) Saiz; Frank (Sadie) Saiz; Vita Lucero; Viola (Orlando) Ortega; Steve Saiz; all of Las Vegas, Anita (Fred) Lucero of Ft. Worth, Texas; Maria (Arcenio) Sanchez of Trujillo and Dominico (Mary) Saiz of Clovis.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 28 from Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 29 also at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. Burial of his cremated remains will take place at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 2 at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Las Vegas.
Serving as pallbearers will be: Jerry Ortega, Toby Chavez, J.D. Saiz, Antonio Silva, Travis Baca, Christopher Montoya and Desiree Mulligan.
