Flora Urioste, 77, resident of Apache Springs, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 23, 2013, at Vida Encantada in Las Vegas.

Flora was born in Tecolote to Urbano and Vivianita Gutierrez, who proceeded her in death.
She was married to Ruben Urioste Sr., who also proceeded her in death.
She had three brothers and two sisters. Her brother Reymundo Gutierrez and sisters Stella Martinez and Mary Espinoza proceeded her in death.
She is survived by two brothers, Estevan Gutierrez (Lucy) and Candelario Gutierrez.
Flora will be missed by her surviving children, Steve Urioste and wife Loretta and Ruben Urioste Jr. and wife Barbara. She also had three grandsons and one granddaughter, Estevan Urioste (Felicia), Elias Urioste (Melissa), Paul Urioste, and Audrey Duran.
She had three great-grandchildren, Estrella, Emilio and Andoni and Andoni's mom, Sonia. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Flora loved the outdoors and enjoyed hiking on her ranch in Apache Springs. Flora was very creative and loved sewing and crafting. She enjoyed spending time with the Senior Citizen Sewing Club.
Flora had many friends in life. The family wishes to acknowledge her special friends, Arturo and Dorinda Montoya, Cammy Gomez and Joe and Angie Sena. The family is also grateful to the staff of Vida Encantada for the care they gave to Flora during the last days of her life.
Rosary services will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Church in Las Vegas. Funeral services will be conducted at 9 a.m. Wednesday with Father George V. Salazar as celebrant. Interment of cremains will follow at Los Montoyas Cemetery in Los Montoyas.
