She is also survived by her family dogs, Princess and Ace, and her cat, Pharrah, as well as numerous great aunts, great uncles, cousins, and friends.
Grace graduated from West Las Vegas High School in 2016, where she became a state champion in cheer. Grace also enjoyed being on the softball team. Grace was attending Central New Mexico Community College, with dreams of becoming a social worker. On Jan. 18, 2018, she enlisted in the New Mexico Army National Guard and was excited to become a U.S. soldier, a decision that felt she was called to.
In her spare time, Grace enjoyed being with her friends (she had so many), listening to music, going to concerts, reading a good book, dancing, and eating her mama's grilled cheese sandwiches.
Grace truly lived up to her name, and was well known for her caring nature and how she could light up a room instantly when she walked in. She had a genuine smile and treated strangers with the same respect as lifelong friends.
Grace could make anybody laugh and was able to memorize a song in just one time of hearing it.
Grace was determined and did everything with passion. She had the ability to love without holding back, and looked for the best in every situation that she was placed in. Grace loved to help those in need, and was able to give the best advice, for she was wise beyond her years.
Grace loved the Lord and loved praising Him and lifting His name and learning of His teachings and miracles. Although her time on earth was short, we are thankful for her time spent here with us and look forward to seeing her beautiful brown eyes and warm smile, and hearing her infectious laughter again.
A rosary mass will be held for Grace on Friday, Feb. 9, 2018 at Our Lady of Sorrows Church at 7 p.m. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018 at the Gilbert "Gillie" Lopez Gymnasium at 10 a.m.
