Grucella Gallegos, 92, a resident of Albuquerque since 2011 died peacefully on April 20, 2013.

She was born in Las Vegas, on Jan. 2, 1921, to the late Antonio DeTevis and Emilia Alires DeTevis.

She was the third of 12 children born to Antonio and Emilia.

She was united in marriage in Las Vegas on March of 1942 to Carlos Gallegos.

In 1947, Grucella, her young son and infant daughter moved with her husband to Los Alamos, where the family lived until 1968.

Carlos and Grucella relocated back to their hometown and lived in Las Vegas until Carlos passed away in 1980 and Grucella became a resident of the Rehabilitation Center of Albuquerque in January 2011.

She is survived by her son, Gilbert Gallegos Sr. and wife Beatrice; daughter, Martha Bustamante and husband Dale; seven grandsons, Gilbert Gallegos, Jr. and wife Yvette, Jonathan Gallegos and wife Lee Ann, Adelio Bustamante (Phyllis), David Bustamante and wife Teresa, Dion Bustamante, Carlos Bustamante and wife Dawn, and Mark Bustamante (Amanda). She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren Carin, Isabella, Alek, Derrick and Tanner Gallegos, Jaleisha Bustamante, Cory Madrid, Adelio Jr, Michale, Diego, Luis, Antonio, Daniel, Carlos Jr., Santos, Ava and Marko Bustamante; brother, Joe DeTevis; sisters, Pita Lucero and husband Buddy, Marie DeTevis and Jane DeTevis; sisters-in-laws, Grace Ulibarri and Claudia Gallegos, and numerous nieces and nephew. She is also survived by a special nephew Richard Tafoya and wife Darcy, who Grucella and Carlos helped raise and special niece, Barbara DeTevis, who was close to her Aunty Rise these last few years. Grucella's grandsons will serve as her Pall Bearers and her great-grandchildren will serve as honorary pall bearers.

A rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. Thursday at Risen Savior Catholic Community, 7701 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, with a funeral mass to follow. Interment will be at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 3 p.m.
