Henry Romero Sr., 79, passed away at home, Tuesday Nov., 29, 2016.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Maryann Romero and his parents, Jose Santos Romero Sr. and Maria Lazara Padilla-Romero.
He is survived by sons and daughters, Henry Romero, David Romero, Annette Garcia and husband, Ron, Irene Trujillo and husband, Carlos, all of Las Vegas, and Barbara Romero of Albuquerque.
Henry is also survived by three brothers and six sisters, Fred Romero from Edgewood, Lorenzo Romero, Los Lunas, Jose Santos Romero Jr., Albuquerque, Maxine Sedillo (George), Verna Chavez, Frances Barela (Ernest), Albuquerque, Margaret Montoya, Las Vegas, Mary LaFebre (Robert), Perrington, Texas, Julia Gallegos (Gene), Borger, Texas; 15 grandkids, 13 great-grandkids.
He was a heavy equipment operator for the city of Las Vegas and retired from NMDOT. He enjoyed going for wood, and cruising around town and talking with people.
Viewing will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. today (Friday) at Nelson Funeral Home Chapel. Rosary will be recited at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Church, with Mass immediately following. Burial will be at San Ignacio Cemetery in San Ignacio.
