Irene Cruse, 88, of Denver, Colo. passed away in her daughter, Elma Olivas's Brighton, Colo. home on Jan. 11, 2013.
She was born on Dec. 20, 1924, to Tranquilino and Irene (Duran) Cruz in Rainsville.
She's preceded in death by her first husband, Anselmo Cisneros whom she married in 1942. Along with by her parents and three brothers, Enrique, Frederico and Levi.
She resided in Denver, but owned her own store and café in Springer.
Irene is survived by her husband, Charles Lujan, her beloved daughter, Elma and husband Martin; sisters, Josephine Duran, Anita Cordova, Lupita Montoya, and Tita Chavez; five grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday followed by the rosary service at at Tabor-Rice Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial was on Thursday at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Brighton.
