Juan J. Marrujo was granted his Angel wings on June 1, 2014. His final days were spent surrounded by his loving family.

He was born to Joaquin Marrujo and Mela C. Marrujo.

Juan's life would seem short to many, but those who knew him would understand that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time, in which Juan lived. Juan gave many courage and hope. Juan was a long time resident of Las Vegas, he graduated from Robertson High School and attended college at both NMHU and LCC. From a young age Juan began his workforce adventures with selling the Optic, working at the Serf and Kiva Theater, Murphy's Drug store, Maria's Kitchen as a waiter, Ludi's, Hillcrest restaurant, Romeroville gas station then he began his most prestigious careers at The Connection being a bilingual CSR then a special ed teacher at Tony Serna Elementary, he went on to become a meter reader for the city of Las Vegas then promoted to city auditor. Juan then went on to work for Alta Vista Regional Hospital as an X-ray tech and also a phlebotomist in the radiology department.

Juan was a devoted member of the Immaculate Conception Church as a catechism teacher and a Eucharistic Minister, also member of The Knights of Columbus and Lions Club.

Juan received many miracles in life and in death Juan is blessed. Praise be to God.

Rosary services will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Church in Las Vegas. Funeral services will be conducted at 9 a.m. Thursday also at Immaculate Conception Church with Father George V. Salazar as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Anthony Cemetery in Las Vegas with the following serving as casket bearers: Art Atencio, Frank Marrujo, Brian Tarr, Joel Maddux, Israel Maddux and Mike Soto. Serving as honorary bearers will be: Quinten Marrujo, Mariah Tarr, Arturo Atencio, Antonio Atencio, Mario Tenorio and Adam Marrujo.
