Mary Geraldine Pacheco, 74, a longtime resident of Las Vegas, N.M. passed away on Sunday, Dec. 31, 2017 in Las Vegas, N.M..
She was born on Nov. 26, 1943 to her parents Cresencio Martinez and Quierina Quintana in Las Vegas, N.M..
A Catholic, and a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Las Vegas, N.M. Geraldine was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, mother-in-law, sister, aunt, and friend. A member of the Sociedad Del Sagrado Corazon, Director of the Riena de los Cielos Choir and taught for over thirty years in Santa Rosa and Las Vegas City Schools.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Luis Martinez, Vivian Martinez, sister: Mary Jane Santillanes, grandson: Julian Martinez, and father of her children: David Pacheco.
She is survived by her daughters Margaret Montano and husband Anthony of Las Vegas, N.M.; Corrine Martinez and husband Elauterio Jr., of La Loma, N.M.; son: Isidro "Anthony: Pacheco of Las Vegas, N.M.; 10 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson; One granddaughter, Larissa Romero of Las Vegas, N.M., raised as her daughter; sister Angie Martinez of Rio Rancho, N.M.; close family friend she raised, Donna Maestas and husband Rick of Rio Rancho, N.M.; numerous: nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
A rosary will be held on Friday, Jan. 5, 2018 at 7 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Church in Las Vegas, N.M. Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2018, also at Immaculate Conception, with Father George V. Salazar as Celebrant.
Serving as casket bearers will be David Martinez, Joseph Montano, Chris Montano, Larissa Romero, Amanda Martinez, Linda Montano, Anthony Montano and Elauterio Martinez Jr. Cremation will take place after services with burial of cremains at a later date at Our Lady of Guadalupe Cemetery in Sapello, N.M.
