Rachel G. Pino, 77, of Las Vegas, N.M., passed away, surrounded by her family, Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at Christus St. Vincent Hospital in Santa Fe, N.M. She was born to parents Manuel and Cecelia Greenier, on Dec. 1, 1940, in Las Vegas. She was a Catholic and member of Immaculate Conception Church in Las Vegas. Rachel loved crafts, reading and spending time with family and grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brother Anthony Greenier; mother-in-law and father-in-law Antonio and Gabrielita Pino and brother-in-law Manuel Baca.
She is survived by her loving husband, Robert Pino, of the family home; daughters Debbie Vigil (Donald) and Yvonne Ortega and special friend David, all of Las Vegas; Jeanette Pino and special friend Pat, Annette Pino, Jennie Pino and Suzanne Pino-Vaughn (Anthony) all of Las Vegas, N.M.; sons Robert Sanchez (Roseanna) of Albuquerque and Johnny Pino (Christine); sister Susie Baca of Las Vegas; 23 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and many friends.
A rosary will be recited on Sunday, May 6, 2018, at 8 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted on Monday, May 7, 2018 at 9 a.m. with both services to be held at Immaculate Conception Church in Las Vegas with Father George V. Salazar as celebrant.
Interment will follow at St. Anthony Cemetery in Las Vegas with the following serving as casket bearers: Paul Vigil, Michael Ortega, Gabriel Gallegos, Pat Trujillo, Antonio Pino, Dillion Encinias, Martin Encinias and Jesus Encinias. Serving as honorary bearers will be all of her remaining grandchildren.
