Roberto J. Moreno, 27, a resident of Las Vegas since 2010 and former resident of California, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 5, 2017 in Las Vegas, N.M.
He was born on April 2, 1990 to Jose Roberto Gonzales and Margie Moreno in Monterey, Calif.
He worked as a Home health aide for Angel's Touch in Las Vegas for the past three years. He was a loving son, husband, father, son-in-law, brother and friend.
He was preceded in death by his infant son: Roberto Moreno.
He is survived by his wife: Bonita Gastelum; son: Damian Moreno-Gastelum both of Las Vegas; mother: Margie E. Moreno and fiancée Gary of Amarillo, Texas; father: Jose Roberto Gonzales; brothers: Jose Roberto Gonzales; Sebastian Gonzales and Isaac D. Gonzales all of Calif.; mother and father-in-law: JoAnne and Gregorio Gastelum; sister-in-law: JoVanna Gastelum; brothers-in-law: Gregorio Gastelum and girlfriend Tana all of Las Vegas; Jesus Gastelum and girlfriend Angie of Calif.; maternal grandparents: Carlos and Margarita Moreno; aunts: Rosangelica Moreno and boyfriend Tommy all of El Paso, Texas; Maria Elena Moreno; Flor Inez Moreno both of Calif.; uncles: Joe Moreno, Carlos Moreno; Angel Moreno (Nora) all of Calif.; cousins: Jakob Moreno, Christina Saenz both of El Paso, Texas; Crystal Saenz; Desiree Moreno both of Calif.; grandmother: Patsy Duran of Las Vegas; numerous: nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Rosary service will be held on Thursday, Nov. 9, 2017 at 7 p,m. at Immaculate Conception Church in Las Vegas, N.M. Funeral service will be conducted on Friday, Nov. 10, 2017 at 9 a.m. also at Immaculate Conception Church with Father George V. Salazar as celebrant. Serving as casket bearers will be Gregorio Gastelum, Jesus Gastelum, Clarence Salazar, Robert Ortega, Robert Ortega, Jr. and Leroy Ortega. Cremation will take place following services and burial of cremains will be held at a later date at San Jose Cemetery.
