Sarah Sena, 86, a resident of Las Vegas went home to be with our heavenly father on Saturday, April 12, 2014, at Alta Vista Regional Hospital following a lengthy illness.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernardo and Juanita Padilla Martinez; her husband, Tranquilino Sena; a son, James Sena, and a granddaughter, Diane Ritchie.
She is survived by four daughters, Margie Lopez and husband, Tony of Denver, Colo., Rose Pacheco and husband, Luis of North Glenn, Colo., Irene Sandoval and husband, Orlando and Catherine Sandoval and fiancé, Chris Martinez, all of Las Vegas. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 18 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Isabel Archuleta of Las Vegas, and Priscilla Romero of Oakland, Calif.; and a sister-in-law, Margaret Sena of Las Vegas, and by several nieces and nephews.
She was a house wife and a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Her hobbies were playing cards, making puzzles, and going to the casinos. She was very faithful to praying her rosary every night and spending time with her family. She was an avid Denver Broncos fan.
A visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Monday in St. Francis Chapel at Gonzales Funerals & Cremations, 2315 Hot Springs Blvd. All services will be held from Our Lady of Sorrows Church with a Rosary Monday at 7 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. on Tuesday. Cremation will follow and the interment will be in the Sena Family Plot in Mt. Calvary Cemetery on at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
