Ufrendo "Guggie Jaramillo Jr., 61, a resident of Anton Chico, N.M., passed away Friday, Feb. 2, 2018. He went to the arms of the Lord with peace and grace to be beside his loved ones.
He was born to his parents, Jose Ufrendo Jaramillo and Emilia J. Ortega Jaramillo, on April 11, 1956 in Anton Chico, N.M. He was Catholic and was a member of the St. Joseph Church in Anton Chico, N.M.
This is in loving memory of a husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cowboy, hero and a loving friend.
Ufrendo Jr,. also known as Guggie, has gone to his resting place with the Lord. Guggie worked for the New Mexico Department of Transportation and was a HMW advanced maintenance worker and then retired after 25 years. He was known for his many talents: carpentry, hunting, exceptional gardening, farming and jack of trades.
He was the type of person that was always giving, caring, and put everyone's needs before his own. He helped lots of family and friends build and remodeled homes. He was always the life of the party or gathering. He loved people and all children and never expected nothing in return.
Guggie was a family man who always put his children and wife first. His wife, children and grandchildren will miss him dearly. He was a teacher and a role model to his family and we will try and keep his memory alive as he is gone but will never be forgotten. His spirit will remain alive within us all.
He is preceded in death by his: parents, brother Margarito Jaramillo, sister Patsy Sanchez and brother Benjamin Jaramillo.
He is survived by his loving wife, Josephine Ann Jaramillo, of the family home in Anton Chico, sons and daughters Stoney Jaramillo and companion Ruby and Heather, all of Anton Chico, N.M.; Emily B. Jaramillo and companion Daniel Jaramillo of Anton Chico, N.M.; Tracy Jaramillo and companion Alan Gallegos of Anton Chico, N.M.; Ufrendo "Jody" Jaramillo III and wife Ashley of Anton Chico, NM; grandchildren: Harlee, Alayna, Legend, Dakota, Montana, Lariana, Myra and Amaya; sisters and brother: Berna Padilla of Las Vegas, N.M.; Ralph Jaramillo and companion Melissa Garcia of Las Vegas; Becky Jaramillo and companion Felix Saiz of Anton Chico; godchildren: Jimmy Jaramillo, Darla Lujan, Amos Lucero, Margarito Jaramillo, Stephanie Lucero, Kimberly Villanueva, Sergio Abila, Dakota Garcia, Jacinto Paiz; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Yolanda Tenorio and husband Juan, Patsy Benina and husband Joe, Sammy Lucero, Margie Chavez and husband Billy, Louis Lucero and wife Mary, Alice Wagner and husband Hermut, Connie Abila and companion Mike, numerous: nieces, nephews, other relatives co-workers and many friends.
A rosary was scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2018. A funeral will be conducted on Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2018, 11 a.m., with both services at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Anton Chico, N.M. with Father Antonio Mondragon as celebrant.
Interment will follow at the upper Anton Chico Cemetery with the following serving as casket bearers, Leroy Sandoval, Junior Tenorio, Ernie Velasquez, Transito Sanchez, Max Velasquez, Juan Jaramillo, Martin Ortega, Benny Sanchez, Robert Lucero, Cody Jaramillo, Lino Paiz and Gregory Sanchez.
Serving as honorary bearers will be his grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends, co-workers and loved ones.
