Virginia Sanchez, 68, a longtime resident of Guadalupita, passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on Aug. 19, 1944 in Buena Vista to her parents Pablo Gallegos and Eliza Herrera.
She lost her battle fighting lung cancer. She was a very open hearted and humble woman. She was known to help anyone in need.
She was a member and attended the Cleveland Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Pablo Gallegos and Eliza Herrera; brothers, Carl, Manuel, and Tommy Romero; sons, Paul and Andy Pino; great-grandson, Terrance Alcon; and father-in-law, Don Sanchez.
She is survived by her loving husband, Jimmy Sanchez, of the family home in Guadalupita; sons, Jimmy Pino (Kathy), Fred Pino (Jessica), all of Buena Vista, Marcello Pino (Veronica) of Albuquerque, Marino Pino (Jeanette), Rocky and Benji Pino all of Guadalupita; daughters, Charlene Alcon and Clyde of Cañoncito, and Joanne Pino Sanchez and Gary of Buena Vista; 16 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brothers, Larry Romero, Leonard DeHerrera and Rose, all of Las Vegas; and Norman DeHerrera of Buena Vista; brother-in-law Orlando Sanchez and Grace of Colorado; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Cleveland Church of Christ with pastor Louis Talamantes officiating. Cremation has taken place and burial will take place at the Buena Vista Cemetery in Buena Vista.
