Santiago Armijo Obituary
Jimmy was born on May 16, 1925, to Balentin Armijo and Delfinia Gallegos, in Ocate. He left Ocate to join the Army. He took care of his beloved mother until her death. He was employed by the VA Hospital as an assistant to ophthalmologists for more than 30 years.
He married the love of his life, Corina Olguin, of El Alto. She preceded him in death on Aug. 30, 2009.
They had one son, Paul David, who resides in Holman with Ella and three grandchildren, Santiago ""Santi,"" Elena, and Pablo, whom he loved dearly. Surviving him also is his sister-in-law, Dora Mascarenas, of Albuquerque, formerly of El Alto and several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors.
Jimmy loved and enjoyed helping people. He was kind, and generous. He was a fun-loving person and greatly enjoyed spending time and eating out with all his friends and family. He will greatly be missed by all who knew and loved him.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Friday at St. Gertrude's Church in Mora. A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Gertrude's and burial will take place at the Catholic Cemetery in Mora.

He was very close to my parents the Baca family he worked at the VA with my dad Isa Baca we all would visit his mom and dad were very wonderful friends. they would also visit us when I was a little girl

TO THE FAMILY of Jimmy We are so sorry of the death of Jimmy He was a great person when we were little we would visit him and Corrine they were so good to use my father Isa Baca and Mary were best friends Isa went home with the Lord three years this Christmas Jimmy was a great man who could help not to love him. we have great memories of them. Jimmy was/is my uncle. He was a kind, intelligent, helpful, considerate, loving uncle. He is the reason Christmas existed for myself and my brothers and sisters. He was full of love for his natural family and for the family that he married into. He taught by example of what it is like to be a clean, upstanding person. He loved his son, my first cousin, tremendously. Our Creator Father, Our Lord God shined through my Uncle Jimmy. I will always hold him in high regard. I will treasure all of his gifts to us. I will miss him. I extend my heartfealt condolences to his son, my beloved first cousin Paul David for his and our loss. I will always be greatful for all the kindness that both my Uncle Jimmy and my Aunt Corrine showed me and my family. I could not be at my uncle's services but he is in my prayers. Like I do for all my deceased and living family I ask our Most Magnificent Kind Loving Creator God our Father to be merciful with us. I am sure that my Uncle Jimmy and my Aunt Corrine are in the company of our God in His Mansion under His Loving care and protection. I humbly sign this as his loving and greatful nephew, Gilbert A. Olguin.

I was a friend of Jimmy's brother, Fidel Armijo from Ocate, NM. I lost track of his family years ago and would appreciate correspondence with family who knew Fidel. I never met Jimmy but had heard of him from Fidel. My thoughts and prayers are with all his family.
