Our Beloved mother, Eulalia "Lala" Valencia passed to another life to be with our Lord on April 15, 2014.

She was born in South San Isidro on April 4, 1921, to the late, Apolinar and Josephina B. Ruiz.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rogelio Valencia; siblings, Jacobo, Hilario, Merlinda Ruiz and Flora Perea (Orlando).

She was surrounded by her beloved daughter, Frances Fresquez (Alan) and son, Roy Valencia of Las Vegas; granddaughters, Janet Madrid, Darlene (David Margarito) Encinias, Sharen (Angelo) Maldonado, Valerie Valencia, Lynnsey Valencia, Jacob Valencia; great grandchildren, Pearl (Jose) Solano, Kaylene (Sean) Armijo, David Alan Encinias, Dominique Maldonado, Deanna (Jeffery) Hern, Jordan Archuleta, Cameron Collin Lopez, Joe Van Lujan and great-great-grandchildren, soon to arrive, Jonathon Joseph (JJ) Solano, and Josiah Charles (JC) Armijo; also surviving are numerous "Tias and Tios," nieces, nephews, close friends and neighbors.

Mom was a devoted Catholic who loved her hero Father George Salazar. She loved joking, dancing, and belonged to several choirs, enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her great grandchildren.

She was a kind, gentle, loving and very generous mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who had an enormous heart open to each and every one. Mom always put others first in her life.

Funeral services for "Lala" will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on Monday as follows: Rosary will begin at 9 a.m. followed by celebration of the funeral mass immediately after the rosary by Rev. George Salazar. Interment will follow the mass in South San Isidro. Serving as pallbearers will be Angelo Maldonado, David Margarito Encinias, Valerie Valencia, Lynnsey Vigil, Sean Armijo and David Alan Encinias. Honorary pallbearers are her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces.
