Eric A. Solano

1984 - 2016

Eric A. Solano, 32, a lifetime resident of Las Vegas passed away on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2016, at Alta Vista Regional Hospital in Las Vegas.

He was born in Las Vegas on April 19, 1984 to Albert Solano and Connie Valdez-Solano.

As a lifelong resident of Las Vegas, he attended West Las Vegas school district and became one of the state's top football players in high school while playing for the West Las Vegas Dons. Eric was very proud to be a Don and always had school pride.

Eric, a highly decorated Veteran of the United States Army, served four tours overseas protecting our country and was a Purple Heart recipient.

He was also a proud father, a devoted husband, and his entire world revolved around his family. Eric also enjoyed spending time and taking care of his family and friends whom he loved very much. Eric did all he could to build everything around those he loved and cared for.

Eric was known for helping as many people as he could without any expectation of repayment. He was incredibly generous with his time and was always willing to give to anyone in need, even those he didn't know.

Among other things, he loved spending his time raising and taking care of his animals, enjoyed fishing, and being outdoors enjoying nature.

Eric was a devoted Catholic and was preceded in death by his brother, Albert Michael Solano; maternal grandparents, Jose A. and Priscilla M. Valdez; uncle, Gabriel Valdez; and paternal grandfather, Joe L. Solano.

He is survived by his daughter, Zoey Dawn Solano; wife, Anne M. Solano, both of the family home; parents, Albert and Connie Solano of Serafina; sister, Patricia Carroll and husband, Jacob, of Las Vegas; brothers, Adam A. Solano and wife, Randee, of Surprise, Ariz., and Anthony J. Solano of Las Vegas; paternal grandmother, Senobia Solano-Gonzales of Las Vegas; father-in-law, Carl Franciose of Bud Lake, N.J.; mother and father-in-law, Dawn and David White of Montrose, Colo.; sisters-in-law, Jennifer Franciose of Chimayo, Grace White of Montrose, Colo., Abigail White of Boulder, Colo., and Masandra Gray of Montrose, Colo.; brother-in-law, Micah White of Ribera; nieces, Brittany Carroll and partner, Kayla, Alondra Solano, Mariah Archuleta-Franciose, Valeena Franciose, and Chloe White; nephews, Diondre Solano, Isaac Archuleta-Franciose, Christian Garcia, Luciano Garcia, (unborn nephew) Eric Carl Franciose, Jeremiah White and Darien White; numerous aunts, uncles, other relatives, comadres and many friends.

Rosary services will be held at 7 p.m. today (Friday) at Immaculate Conception Church in Las Vegas. Funeral Services will be conducted at 9 a.m. on Saturday also at Immaculate Conception Church with Father George V. Salazar as celebrant. Interment will follow at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Las Vegas with the following serving as casket bearers will be Adam A. Solano, Anthony J. Solano, Eusebio Valdez, SSG Jose Astorga, SSG Kevin Johnson, SGT Jason Sainz, SGT Jake, Layba and SGT DeAndre Smith. Serving as honorary bearers will be all his nieces and nephews.
