I was thinking about my work and fellow workers at the Tarzana CPA firm that I was at 22 years ago. I went to google what happened to Mel Kohl, and I unfortunately found this obituary. Mel Kohl was a client, who would come by all the time. On Fridays, he dressed up because everyone dressed down. I believe he wore an all white suit. He was such a character and thinking about him after all these years brings a smile to my face.

Almost four years has passed and incredibly I still don't believe you are gone.
Probably because of your wonderful friendship and amazing charisma.
Every time, I pass Priscilla's coffee shop, where we used to hang out and practice jokes routines!, I look for you outside on the outside seatings, drinking your espresso!
May you rest in peace my friend.

Our family, including the "Comic Kids," as you called the boys, will miss you so much, Mel. We've been laughing at your jokes since the comedy shows at Canoga Park Bowl. The Tribal Cafe show, where we saw you most recently, will never be the same without the Viagra-styled hair of International Sex Symbol Aldo Cappuccino.

We also loved watching your videos; my 16-year-old even saw you recently on television. Your star was rising even higher and we were enjoying watching your success. I saw the picture of the marquee at the Laugh Factory that said "Mel Kohl, Rest in Peace, Make God Laugh." If anybody can make God laugh, it is Mel Kohl.

With much love and light to you as you continue to rock the audience in heaven,
Morris, Tricia, Caleb, Micah, and Jadon
