November 8, 1930 - February 3, 2015 Bruce William Fitzhugh, 84, of Diamond Bar, CA, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2015, in Covina CA, of complications from multiple myeloma. "Bruce", officially named William Bruce Fitzhugh, was born in Pasadena, CA, on Nov. 8, 1930, of Raymond and Thelma Fitzhugh. He graduated from John Muir High School, then enlisted and served in the U.S. Marine Corps. Bruce served with honor as a radioman in the Korean Conflict with the 1st Marine Division during many engagements, including the Inchon landing and the Chosin Reservoir fighting. After he returned to the States, Bruce married Mary Carolyn Wells and settled in Pasadena while he pursued his education at University of Southern California, eventually earning both a bachelor's and master's degree in engineering. He also, later, earned an M.B.A. degree from Claremont Graduate School. Bruce pursued a career in the Southern California aerospace industry for over 30 years, until his retirement in 1997. Services are pending and will be announced when scheduled. The family's special thanks go out to Bruce's friend and physician Dr. Jerry Cimmarusti, the nursing staff at Citrus Valley Medical Center-Inter Community Unit, and Citrus Valley Hospice, all of whom did everything in their power to make Bruce and his family comfortable.
