Barbara Cady, writer, editor and publisher, died November 9, 2012, at her home in Los Angeles after battling cancer. Ms. Cady is best known as the author of Icons of the Twentieth Century, a lavish album of black and white portraits and concise bios of the two hundred men and women who shaped the modern era. At the time of her death, Ms. Cady was finishing a book based on the life of her great-uncle, a Roman Catholic priest and leader in the Polish resistance during WWII. Ms. Cady is survived by her husband, Jean-Louis Ginibre; three daughters, Jennifer Cady and Stephanie Cady of New York City and Monica Clements of London, England; her stepson, Jean-Noël Ginibre of Paris, France; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services are Monday, November 19, at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of the Good Shepherd, 505 N. Bedford Dr., Beverly Hills, CA 90210.
