Carl Byancus Tanner Jr.

Carl B Tanner Jr. had 90 amazing years and passed away in Mission Viejo, CA. Born in Bernice, LA. Preceded in death by his son, Greg Tanner, former wife, Maria Gibbons, brother, Billy Joe Tanner, & father, Carl B Sr.. Survived by his loving wife, Shedeh Tanner, sister, Donna Ruth Tanner, children, Carl B III, Jeff (wife Rebecca), & Sahrah Tanner & grandchildren, Carl B IV, Justin, & Evelyn Tanner. Retired US Navy Captain, BS Louisiana Tech Univ., MBA Pepperdine Univ., & member Society of Experimental Test Pilots.
1942, lived childhood dream of being a pilot by serving w/ pride 27 remarkable years in US Navy, logged 7500+ hours testing more than 80 naval aircraft. Received 5 medals: National Defense Service (Bronze star), WW II Victory, WW II Occupation (Europe), American Campaign (Korea), & Armed Forces Expeditionary (Cuba).
1969, manager, Hughes Aircraft, CA & Iran where he met his wife Shedeh.
1985, moved to NJ, owned Middle East food stores & restaurant in NYC.
2004, moved to Mission Viejo w/ his wife & daughter, where he lived his final wonderful years.
Memorial service w/ honors at Fort Rosecrans, Point Loma, San Diego, CA; Monday, May 20, 2013, 11 am.
