Carol Edelsohn

Carol Edelsohn passed away peacefully after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis, on June 2, 2013. She was born on April 7, 1934 in Brooklyn, N.Y. She was 79. She is survived by her daughter Elyse Filderman and her sister Joan Grober.
She was a very accomplished woman. She started out as a teacher and later became the first women stock broker in California. She was a co-founder of N.A.W.B.O. in Los Angeles and the First Women's Bank of California and later was a hotel owner on Catalina Island.
Carol lived a full life and was a very warm and giving person. She always had a sense of humor and kind things to say. Before illness struck she was active in many sports.
Memorial services will be held at the Marina City Club, 4333 Admiralty Way, Galaxy Ball Room, third floor, on June 23 from 2PM to 5PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 2440 S. Sepulveda Blvd. #115, Los Angeles, 90064 (310) 479-4456.
