Edwin Herbert Feldmann

October 31, 1928 - June 6, 2014 Born in Chicago, IL, to Sadie & Arthur Feldmann. Moved to LA in 1943; also lived in BH and SM. Ed served as a Medic in Korea earning a Bronze Star then went into the furniture business. He genuinely enjoyed his decade of volunteer work at St. John's Hospital and was passionate about duplicate bridge achieving rank of Silver Life Master with wins incl. 4th in Sr. Pairs at Nat'ls. He loved talking about his family, bridge and his students, books, movies, music, politics, backgammon and his Airedales. Ed cherished and is survived by daughters Stephanie Reitzenstein, Lisa Matzat and Robin Bialek; nephew, Alan Goldstein; grandchildren, Shana, Daniel, Serena, Lauren and Jenna; his ex-wife, Joan Feldmann and special friends, Alan Betheil and Carolyn Taff. Ed was known for his positive attitude; his last quote being, "Good Luck to all, I've had a great run..." He was a fierce competitor and will be missed by all. A Memorial is planned for mid-July.
