Evelyn Kessler

July 31, 1925 - July 4, 2014 On the passing of Evelyn Kessler Evelyn "Lyn" Kessler, native of Los Angeles, daughter of Nathan and Betty Stone, passed away on the Fourth of July, at approximately 6 am in the morning. She was at the cusp of 89 years of age. She is survived by her four children; Sharon (Dan), Ken (Anne), Steve (Holly), and Shelley (Dennis) along with her grandchildren Matt (Rashana), Colette, Semone, Kennedy, Katie, Taylor, and Michael. As well as her brother Stanley, sister-in-law Dee, and their children Andrea, Vikki, and Kim. Services were held July 6th, at Mt. Sinai where she was laid to rest. A caring mother and grandmother, Lyn worked hard to provide the best for her family. She met all the challenges that four children can offer up between Cub Scouts, brownies, music lessons, and sports. Lyn was a graduate from UCLA, had a zest for life, a love of music, enjoyed tennis, and was the ultimate "foodie." Her children truly appreciated her encouragement to go out and take a bite out of life, to find their own ways, and never shy from new experiences. Her immediate and extended family will miss her sense of humor, her kindness and joy of living. She will be forever present in their hearts, and the hearts of all those she touched. Rest well, Mom; we are grateful for the time you shared with all of us.
