Everett Lamberson

Lamberson, Everett Ward
June 23, 1926 - April 1, 2013
"Sonny" passed away on Monday, April Fools' Day! Sonny was born in New York City. He moved with his family to a lovely farm in Indiana, where he grew up. He graduated from Bentonville High School on 4/26/1946. He was called up by the Selective Service on 8/31/1950 and served two terms in Korea. After the war, he moved to Los Angeles to broaden his life. He purchased Hardware Specialties Company from the Brintnall family and started his dream. Sonny designed and patented turnstiles and railings that are still in wide use today. Sonny's true life joy was his family, friends, and the Elks Lodge #99. He is survived by his wife Edna Ruth; son Lawrence Herrera and his daughter Chloe; daughter Monique (Michael Webster) and their children Guillermo, Emmet, and Rose; son George (Leslie); son Fred (Irma) and their daughter Rebecca; and sisters Barbara Riddle, Verna Smeed, and Helen McKee. He gave his heart and soul to help others. As our neighbor put it, he was a Superman! Nothing he couldn't do, and he never seemed to slow down or get older. We were truly blessed to have him in our lives. I love you Sonny! -- Edna
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, April 7 2013, at Hollywood Forever Cemetery Chapel, 6000 Santa Monica Blvd. 323-469-6349.
