Fink, Frederick A.
June 18, 1925 - March 17, 2013
Frederick A. Fink passed away quietly Sunday, March 17th surrounded by his children and grandchildren after nearly 88 years of happiness, adventure, and love which he shared for nearly 65 years with our mother, Lila, who passed away last year. A member of the Bloody Bucket Division during WWII with action in the battles of the Ardenne Forest and the Bulge, he moved to Los Angeles after the war, graduated from UCLA
where he met our mother, married, and raised 3 successful children, Steve, Larry, and Patty, and was a nurturing and supportive grandfather to 7 grandchildren, Jeremy, Alex, Jessica, Catie, Joshua, Tamara, and Daniel, and 3 great-grandchildren, Caleb, Eve Lilah, and Jonah. He traveled the world with our mother, and they were members of the Century Club after visiting over 100 countries, was an avid bridge player, theater attender, book reader, investor, and student of the world. Most importantly, he has left a legacy for his family and countless friends of the art of a noble life as a gentleman, kind and empathetic human being, and devoted husband and father. He will be terribly missed by his children and grandchildren as well as his two daughter-in-laws Cathy and Lori, his sisters Evelyn and Gladys, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
