With great sadness. Gary's mother Saundra Knowles Kinnaird, brother Michael Lindsay, sister London Wilde of WildeStarr, sister Lisa Jones of Napa and sister Tracy Comer plus other family members mark the Anniversary of his passing in North Hollywood, CA. Gary was known in the Bay Area and in So. California as a very gifted musician. He placed 4th among 1,000 finalists in the international G.I.T. He was once a roommate of, and remained friends with Paul Gilbert (Mr. BIG). Gary was a talented craftsman and founded custom-shop HOLLYWOOD GUITAR. A scholarship student at MUSICIANS INSTITUTE College of Contemporary Music in Hollywood, CA, he graduated from MIT's Guitar Performance Program in 2006. In 2006-2007 pursed a minor in Voice. In 2010 he pursued an AA in Drum Performance at MIT. His final scholarship in 2011-2012 was to LAMA, Los Angeles Music Academy, in Pasadena, CA as a bassist. An Auto accident in October of 2009 left him with a concussion and enduring health problems. Photos and Remembrances at the Gary Thomas Tribute Page: https://www.facebook.com/gary.thomastribute
