George Hill Carpenter(1932 - 2014)

October 3, 1932 - February 21, 2014 George Hill Carpenter Jr., 81 of Diamond Bar, California passed away on February 21, 2014. He was born on October 3, 1932 in Little Rock, Arkansas. His family moved to California before his first birthday where he lived the rest of his life. Los Angeles County was his home for most of his youth and all of his adult years. Shortly after an honorable discharge from the Navy during the Korean War, he began working as a design engineer on many exciting aerospace programs at North America Rockwell where he was employed for thirty years before retiring in 1987. He spent many long and wonderful years at his last home in Diamond Bar where he enjoyed fantastic views in almost all directions. George was preceded in death by his parents, George and Doris Carpenter and his grandson, Nathan Carpenter. He is survived by his wife of 58 years Bernice Ruth Carpenter, brother Berch (Susan), and son, Russell (Lauren), daughter, Jill Olhoeft (Mark), and son John, as well as his grandchildren; Matthew Carpenter and Brittany, Kelsey and Emily Olhoeft. Services will be held at Wilshire Avenue Community Church at 212 Wilshire Avenue, Fullerton, CA at 1:00 PM Friday, February 28, 2014. McAulay & Wallace Mortuary
