Haewon Souza

February 5, 1954 - November 25, 2013 Haewon was a loving follower of Jesus Christ, a wonderful Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Daughter, Sister and Pharmacist. She was born on February 5, 1954 in Seoul, Korea. Haewon was surrounded by her children and husband at home when she peacefully returned to Heaven on November 25, 2013 after a two year battle with breast cancer. Haewon was the second born child of her wonderful parents, Ik Soon and Chan Jong. Haewon was the first in her family to move to America when she was only 16 years old after earning a position as a foreign exchange student. Haewon was welcomed with open arms to the Glenn Family of Ellinwood, Kansas. She completed courses at Santa Monica College as well as UCLA before getting accepted into the Pharmacy program at Idaho State University. It was there that she met the love of her life, Dennis and they married in 1976. They moved to Los Angeles where Haewon became a Pharmacy Manager for SavOn, Haewon loved her career because it was in line with her greatest strength, caring and interacting with people. It was her genuine authenticity that made everybody she interacted with feel extremely special. The relationship that Haewon cherished the most was her close relationship with God. She enjoyed celebrating her love of the Lord with her church family at Calvary church as well as at BSF bible study. Throughout her life and especially following her retirement Haewon enjoyed traveling and taking in all of God's beauty, whether at the ski slopes in Mammoth, or on a beach in Hawaii. Haewon is survived by her Husband, Dennis; her two children Michelle and Michael; son in law, Karlo; Granddaughter, Zoey; sisters, Heron, Hekyung, and Heyoung; her brother, Albert; sister in laws, Eunsook, Chris; brother in laws, Chung, Maynard, Young, and Ron; her nieces and nephews, David, Lisa, Angie, Andrew, Kevin, Eric, and Esther. A Memorial Celebration will be held on Sat., Dec. 7th at Spanish Hills Country Club, Camarillo at 11am.
