(1941-2013) passed away July 17, 2013. He grew up in the Hancock Park area of Los Angeles and attended Fairfax High School.

A graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, Jim became a CPA and worked for the Arthur Andersen CPA firm in Los Angeles.

He felt passionate about social causes, jazz, books, art museums, and Greece, among his many interests.

He leaves his sister Barbara Nelson Foley, his niece, Dr. Paula Mayer and her son Ben, his nephew Dr. David Mayer and his wife Renee and children Phoebe and Jarrod, his cousins Marilyn and Harry Sussman and their family, his cousin Linda Swanson and her son Ted Swanson and Ted's family.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, September 15, 5 pm, at the Santa Monica Unitarian Church, 1260 18th Street.
