Joy Maisnik, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, and niece, passed away peacefully on November 13 at the age of 82. Her adoring husband Hugo Maisnik was by her side, as well as her devoted daughter Katherine Saltzberg. Born Joy Oliphant in London, England, she moved to Los Angeles at the age of 20. She met her husband Hugo shortly thereafter, and they were happily married for 60 years. Joy is the daughter of the late Jack and the late Juliet Oliphant, who moved to Los Angeles from London after she settled here. In addition to her husband and daughter, Joy is also survived by daughter Lauri Fraser, son Guy Maisnik, son-in-law Jack Saltzberg, grandchildren Elai Saltzberg, Tal and Jordan Saltzberg, Andrew and Steven Maisnik, brother David (Rita) Oliphant, sister-in-law Nettie Napus, uncle Micky Siederer, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Joy was a very special woman, and she will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched.
