was born Mary Louise Cron on April 11, 1931 in Des Moines, Iowa and passed away, after a brief illness, on January 24, 2013 in Hollywood. Born the daughter of Robert and Mary Cron, Judy leaves two sisters, Lisa Cron (Stuart Demar) and Sara Cron (Jim DeVico) and she was the loving aunt of Annie, Peter, Nick and Ally. A poet and self-taught scholar, Judy lived most of her life in Los Angeles, graduating from UCLA with a degree in Theatre Arts in 1953. In her later years she was self-employed as a secretary working at architectural firms. She was previously married to Ken Nelson who predeceased her. For many years Judy spent volunteering at CHIP-IN, the homeless coalition in Hollywood, and in the 80's helped to start the Advisory Committee for Griffith Park. Judy also leaves her dear neighbors, the Vargas Family - Irene, Jorge, Alejandra, and Martin; her long-time employer, architect Barton Myers and his wife Vicki, and other friends. Judy belonged to the Immaculate Heart Community and participated in the IHC Commonwealth Prayers where she will be greatly missed.
